Thou shalt not assume they only have one good song.
You know this Dan Le Sac album really ain't bad, Thou Shalt Always Kill is probably the best thing on it, but it's definitely not the only track, and I do find myself getting caught up trying to work out where some of the guitar samples have been lifted from.

Now, should I be sensible on Thursday, or go and see Ladytron down in London and be completely knackered on Friday?

Completely agree. It's not my usual kind of thing, and yet I've been enjoying it all afternoon. The fact that it's not a style I would usually like suggests it actually is a really good album.

As for Ladytron - I would normally say "gig! Do it!" but they were shit when they opened for NIN last year - I couldn't stand them. So no, save your energy and your pennies for another time.

But do you like them when they aren't live?

After the appalling show, I haven't bothered to find music of theirs.

It was very brash and unsubtle, but I couldn't detect any redeeming features.

Try Witching Hour, it's fantastic.

Of course this might simply establish that we have wildly different tastes in music, but at least we'll know. :-)
